Security Heightens in Tripoli After Car Bomb

Security forces in Tripoli have ramped up security to all state buildings in Libya’s capital after two car bomb exploded near government facilities.

Colonel Salah Es Sammu’i, the head of Tripoli’s security forces, said to the press that all state building will now have more guards on site in order to instill a greater sense of security and to ward off more attacks.

Es Sammu’i assured reporters that the situation at the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Libya’s naval base is now under control and the security threat has been eliminated for the time being.

The Security guards patrolling the state buildings have been equipped with the appropriate devices to detect and eliminate future attacks on state buildings, said Es Sammu’i to the press.
